Melissa’s Approach to Stretching
MORE THAN JUST STRETCHING
Melissa's approach combines techniques from classical ballet, yoga, gymnastics, and active mobility training.
Each session includes flexibility exercises, full-body conditioning, core strengthening, and assisted stretching to improve mobility, posture, balance, and body control.
Rather than focusing only on static stretching, she incorporates movement and strength exercises to develop both flexibility and strength.
Every session is customized to each client's abilities and goals, whether it's achieving the splits, improving posture, increasing mobility, or simply feeling better in everyday life.
Her goal is to help clients understand their bodies, move with confidence, and make consistent progress through proper technique and personalized training.
ABOUT MELISSA
HER STORY
HER JOURNEY INTO STRETCHING
From classical ballet to founding her own aerial gymnastics school.
Melissa's journey began at the age of six, when she started studying classical ballet. Ballet was her childhood dream, but a difficult experience with her instructor eventually led her to leave it behind.
At 20, after experiencing severe back pain from long hours of standing at work, she decided to try pole dancing.
During her first class, she discovered how much proper breathing, warm-ups, and stretching techniques could improve flexibility.
Within a year, she regained her flexibility, achieved her splits, and began competing in pole sport, earning third place in a regional competition in Russia.
This experience inspired her to explore new disciplines and eventually led her to aerial gymnastics.
While preparing for competitions, Melissa discovered aerial silks and immediately fell in love with this combination of gymnastics, strength, and artistry.
FROM STUDENT TO SCHOOL FOUNDER
Since aerial silks classes weren't available in her city, she traveled to Moscow to study at a renowned aerial gymnastics school. She spent countless hours attending classes, workshops, and professional training programs, eventually earning her certification.
She also attended stretching classes taught by renowned circus performers, learning advanced techniques and developing a deeper understanding of flexibility and body control.
In 2015, Melissa founded her own aerial gymnastics school in Russia. Within the first year, her classes were fully booked, often with students booking a week in advance.
She worked with students of different ages and fitness levels, helping many achieve their first splits, improve flexibility, posture, and confidence.
Melissa also created choreography and prepared students for aerial performances, competitions, weddings, and special events.
A NEW CHAPTER IN LOS ANGELES
After moving to Los Angeles, Melissa decided to focus on her career in the beauty industry and take a break from teaching gymnastics.
About a year later, she attended a stretching class for herself. That experience reminded her how important proper technique and individual attention are to effective stretching.
She realized how much she missed teaching and decided to return, this time focusing on stretching and mobility rather than aerial gymnastics.
Within three months, she had six regular private clients, and she has continued teaching ever since.
Melissa also taught group stretching classes at a ballet studio in Los Angeles, but eventually realized that private sessions allow her to give each student more individual attention and support their progress more closely.
Today, she works with clients of different ages and fitness levels, helping them improve flexibility, posture, mobility, and body control.
